SAGE has provided interior design consulting on Indigenous housing developments for the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society, the Aboriginal Land Trust Society and Lu'ma Native Housing Society, the Okanagan Métis & Aboriginal Housing Society and the Vernon Native Housing Society — working alongside their architects, general contractors and development consultants from design through construction.

These are long-term homes for families and individuals, so finishes and detailing are selected for durability, ease of maintenance and a warm, welcoming character that supports everyday living and long-term affordability. Depending on project requirements, the work considers applicable BC Building Code and accessibility requirements, BC Housing Design Guidelines & Construction Standards, adaptable housing requirements and other owner-, operator- or funder-specific standards.

SAGE stays involved through construction — shop drawing review, RFI responses, site instructions and deficiency coordination to occupancy — so the interiors delivered match what the society and its residents were shown.
